Forms

Forms are required for applications that request certain entitlements or administrative clearances. For assistance, visit the Virtual Counter, contact one of the Development Services Centers (DSCs), or review the Staff Directory.

Please note that our forms are frequently updated to accommodate changes in state and local laws. Make sure that you are using the most current version, as City Planning will not accept any forms that have been superseded by more than one month.

Based on a property's Community Plan Area, either the Original Zoning Code (or Chapter 1 of the Los Angeles Municipal Code) or the New Zoning Code (or Chapter 1A) will be applicable. Applications must be filed using the forms listed under the appropriate column. For more information on a property’s Plan Area and zoning, visit zimas.lacity.org.

Applications filed on or prior to the effective date of a Community Plan Update to the New Zoning Code may be eligible for “successional rights” to continue to use the zoning that was in effect at the time of application. For more information review Sec. 1.4.4. (Successional Rights) of Chapter 1A or contact your assigned planner.
